Raven Emperor

Raven Emperor

Eat a little apple,
Peel an orange too -
Why did that apple
Fell down?
And didn't it rise up, Newton?

Gravitas, surely -
A winged raven emperor
Surrenders to it,

And writes of lillies instead -
And roses and gardens full
Of perfume and oils
Seeped through skin
Like snake poison.

Thus the raven
Howling as now,

Rests in silence.
