On the design of a new handheld phone

On the design of a new handheld phone:

Since the world in a picture on our phone is compressed into 2 dimensions, what if we used the design of a 12 sided 3d object instead, with 'screen' on all sides, and used our own hand movement and to rotate the object, instead of swiping;

Say rotating left is a swipe.
Scrolling is moving the thumb down, turning the object, and thus rotating it like that.

What if the 12 sides of the object showed additional information instead of 1 large picture, so we could get more varied views on things? Or it using an inverse 3d algorithm to show depth from a 3d picture on all viewable sides at once?
